🪴I loved being James' "Indoor Plant Correspondent" for a time. He was ever so funny. We marvelled at the Insta posts of people's monstrous Monsteras, laughed at the thinly veiled questioned about "hydroponic tomato plants" and so much more...

Thoughts are with his work family, especially Jen, and his wife and kids, whom he clearly adored.

He was a master of the airwaves and I, like many, found myself sobbing yesterday morning.

My husband, Michael, on a side note, was also dobbed in for having 17 desks in "this is what I live with"... something that turned into the weeks promo. As a result, for ages afterwards, people would ask him if that was true... such was the reach in Sydney of James Valentine.&

💁‍♀️(And yes, I did count them - the roll top, the clerks desk, the partner's desk, the bureau, the secretariat etc etc!)

Valentine, who announced on-air he had cancer in 2024, nurtured a deep connection with his audience as the voice of the afternoon program for more than 20 years

🧑‍🎓On Wednesday afternoon I had the pleasure of formally graduating with a Diploma of Sustainable Living through University of Tasmania at Sydney Town Hall. 🌿
It's where I used to go each year for speech day when I attended Hornsby Girls High School all those years ago. It certainly brought back memories of singing Gaudeamus Igitur in a 1000-strong choir🎶
