Always Greener Garden Care has five job openings available in our landscape gardening business based on the lower North Shore.
Work within a great multi skilled team, attending to many awesome gardens around Sydney, while being supported by a well equipped and organised company.
We are looking for committed applicants interested in long term positions and looking to develop their skills and progress within the company.
We are currently looking to fill up to 5 positions ASAP:
• Head horticulturist / Team leader x 2
• Horticulturist / skilled landscape gardener x 2
• Assistant gardener x 1
Team leader positions are full time with the option to become permanent following a successful 6 month probation period.
Work perks include personal use of work vehicle and iPad.
The other positions are initially casual / part-time but can move to full-time if desired when skills, as well as client and team integration requirements are met.
Initial pay is determined by ability and experience and will be reviewed periodically.
Applicants with horticulture or arboriculture qualifications are preferred, and / or with a minimum of 2-3 years on the job experience.
We will provide any necessary training to ensure there are no gaps in required skills.
Key responsibilities
• Maintaining quality client relations
• All aspects of general garden maintenance
• Precision and difficult access hedge, shrub and tree pruning
• Plant, pest and disease recognition and treatment
• Irrigation repairs and installation
• Optional remedial and hard landscaping
• Practising duty of care, and working safely in compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations
To succeed in these roles, you will:
• For senior roles, evidence relevant qualifications and/or minimum two years’ industry experience
• Have a good work ethic, be positive, well-mannered, and present professionally
• Have excellent attention to detail and a good eye for levels and shapes
• Be physically fit, with have a good sense of balance to be comfortable working at heights
• Be able to develop your skills and learn on the job while working with a team
• Be ambitious with the opportunity to develop leadership skills and become a team leader
• Have a valid driver’s license for a manual vehicle.
• Be able to pass a National Police Check.
