Wow. Two years ago, we took a massive leap of faith and started HGDS. Today, we are looking back with so much gratitude, a bit of exhaustion and incredibly full hearts.
We didnāt get here by accident and we certainly didnāt get here alone. This milestone belongs to all of you just as much as it does to us.
What started as a vision has grown faster and bigger than we ever dreamed. Over the last 24 months, we have transitioned from local residential jobs to bringing on major commercial clients and building genuine, trusted relationships with some of the biggest names in the industry.
None of this would be possible without our incredible community. To everyone who has recommended us, tagged us in community groups, dropped our name to a neighbour, or left us a review, your word of mouth referrals are the lifeblood of our business. Thank you for trusting us.
Weāve achieved all of this not as a massive, faceless corporation, but as a hardworking young family. Itās been a beautiful, chaotic juggle. Weāve been navigating the unique, busy world of raising a pr***en, all whilst adding a baby to our family in the last 12 months!
Balancing school drop-offs, pr***en life, late-night business admin, early-morning site calls, and baby sleeplessness has tested our limits. But doing it all together has made every single success that much sweeter.
Growth is great, but integrity matters more. We all know the last two years haven't been easy on the back pocket. From fuel crises to constant interest rate hikes, the cost of living pressure has been heavy for everyone.
We made a firm decision early on. We didnāt increase our prices due to the fuel crisis! When fuel soared, we copped it. We absorbed those costs because we refuse to add to the financial stress our community is already feeling. Weāre in this together, and we always want to look after the collective that looks after us.
Growth changes things. It brings new opportunities, but it also brings the uncomfortableness of evolving. As weāve pushed forward, people have come and gone out of our lives, a natural byproduct of refusing to stay comfortable and choosing to build something greater. We are thankful for every season and everyone who has been part of the journey.
To our clients, suppliers, friends, and family, thank you. And finally, a massive shoutout to Rhetto. We are so incredibly proud of you, your work ethic, and the vision you execute every single day. Thank you for making this business what it is, and for working so hard to get us to the point where we can become an entire family business, our dream from the beginning!
