Carpentry Apprenticeship
We are boutique Adelaide Hills building company that is looking to expand our team.
This role will suit someone who is looking for an opportunity to start their career in the building industry and work while gaining a recognised qualification.

We will offer guidance and mentorship while you become qualified with a 4-year apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship will include on the job and off the job training and continual support to help you gain your qualification.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the team in performing various first fix carpentry tasks, including measuring, cutting, shaping, and fitting building materials.
• Learn and apply carpentry techniques to install structural components, such as floor joists, wall frames, roof trusses, and other framing elements.
• Assist in the installation of doors, windows, and other openings.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
• Be trained in how to read plans and specifications for the build.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of carpentry tasks while adhering to quality standards.
• Take initiative in learning new skills and techniques, seeking guidance and mentorship from experienced carpenters.
• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong interest in carpentry and a desire to pursue a career in the construction industry.
• Excellent work ethic, punctuality, and be able to learn from feedback.
• Good communication skills and to be able to follow direction and instructions.
• Bonus is some knowledge of tools, materials, and techniques or be a quick learner.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation will be required in the long term.
• Math skills are advantageous for accurately measuring materials, calculating costs, and keeping track of expenses to make sure a project stays on budget.
• Good physical strength & stamina as the role will involve manual labour in all seasons.
