Our Scout group in Mt Torrens needs help! The group has lost ALL of their gear, including trailer, in the Cuddle Creek Bushfires, to the value of roughly $25,000. The group do have insurance, however with the insurance only paying market value (not new for old as we were told!) we will be lucky to see 1/3 of the value.
This has now prompted our group to go into massive fundraising mode in order to get back on track. As a part of our fundraising, we are doing a HUGE Can and Bottle Drive. Some of you who live in the hills may have already seen the Scouts bins around the Torrens Valley area. In addition to these bins, our supplier Woodroffe Skylights, has generously allowed us to put a bulk Can and Bottle bin at their workshop at 59A Langford street, Pooraka.
We are asking for anyone who may be able to spare their cans and bottles to please consider our group and drop them off to Pooraka. If however, anyone is unable to drop their Cans and bottles off please PM me and I will have a look at my work schedules and do a pickup run based on what areas I will be working in, as we work all over Adelaide.
Also as a part of our own business, A.Tapp Skylights, we will be donating $50 per Skylight and $20 per Whirly bird, to the Torrens Valley Scout Group. So if you are thinking about a Skylight or Whirly Bird now is a good time to get your free quote!

Another 6 Roof windows complete!!
That's 19 Windows, all at 3.5m long that we have installed on the one site now!! And let's not forget the grand total of 114m of Backflashing!! And 2 VERY sore lower backs!! 😆 Also a huge shout out to our supplier Woodroffe Skylights, who asked us to Install these monstrous units for them!!

DOES YOUR SKYLIGHT NEED SOME TLC?
This customers skylight had not been cleaned for nearly 7 years!! It was installed by the previous owners of the house and the current owners did not realize that they could remove the diffuser to clean it. It was letting in nearly no light at all and being unsure of who of who originally installed the skylight they thought that no one else would be willing to touch it. Fortunately A.Tapp Skylights, were happy to come to the rescue and make this skylight go from dark and gloomy to bright and shiny once again!
