Snippet from Bond Clean Checklist.
Bathroom:
o Start with doorframe. Wipe over all of doorframe, making sure it is free of dust. Make sure to also wipe across the top of both sides of the doorframe.
o Spot clean door of any marks using Gumption, then wipe over both sides of door with a general spray making sure it is dust free, streak free, and doesn’t have any fly poo or spots.
o Next do the high things. On the ceiling pull off the round filter screen (if there is one), spray both sides with bleach, and rinse clean. Hold it up and look from various angles to make sure all grooves are clean. A brush (a dustpan and brush type is fine or even a brush for dishes) is useful to dislodge any stubborn fluff. Hold screen back in place and give it a thump so it clips clip back on. Don’t let go until you are sure it won’t fall.
o Clean any light fittings, making sure they are free of bugs, mould, cobwebs, and fly poo.
o Wipe or spray mould on ceiling or walls with bleach. Wipe stubborn stains with bleach on a rag. Sometimes it is necessary to wash the ceiling to clean off small bugs or large patches of mould--do this either by hand or using the flat mop.
o Clean window with glass cleaner including pulling out sliding window and doing both sides.
o Brush the screen with a brush if necessary.
o Window tracks: if filled with excessive bugs/dust/debris then vacuum first. Spray window tracks with any general spray. Wipe clean, making sure tracks are spotless. Use a butter knife inside a cloth to get into any tricky corners.
o Window sill: spray with general spray and wipe clean including the corners.
o Remove any cobwebs. Easiest by vacuuming them but a cobweb broom works well also.
o Bin anything left behind such as shower caddies, bathroom products, mats, personal items, etc.
o Bathtub and Lamipanel walls: do not spray bleach on walls as they often discolour a horrid orange colour. Bathroom spray is fine. I usually go over all the panels with a metal kitchen scourer to get all the soap scum off then wipe down with a rag. Use a butter knife to carefully scrape off any calcium build up around bathtub edges, then a scourer for small bits left, then Gumption to polish out the grey marks. Clean shower screen with CLR spray, metal scourer, then bathroom spray and a rag. Scrub bathtub with scourer/Gumption/bleach and rinse off.
o Glass showers: Clean shower screen with CLR spray, metal scourer, bathroom spray, and a rag. Bleach any mouldy grout. Make sure around door hinges and bottom of shower door/where it closes are calcium free and clean.
o Shower curtain: if it’s completely disgusting then bin it and replace. If there is only a bit of mould on the bottom then spray with bleach or even soak in a bucket of strong bleach solution.
o Clean the top of the vanity, bleach any stains, spray CLR around taps and scrape off calcium build up around taps with a butter knife. A scourer may also by helpful. Clean under vanity and bathroom cupboard if there is one, including wiping the hinges. Wipe both sides of the vanity door as well as the top and side edges. Make sure no hair or dust remain, especially in drawers.
o Spot clean all walls using Gumption and general spray. If the walls need washing then wash with bleach solution. For tiled walls it may be helpful to polish with a barely damp rag.
o Wipe the tops of all power points and light switches as well as any marks on them.
o If the floor drain grate is discoloured then scrub it with a scourer and wipe debris clean.
o Floors—vacuum and mop, including tops of skirting boards.
