Don't miss out
🌿The Annual Native Plant Giveaway - Celebrating 5 years!🌿
The Annual Native Plant Giveaway is now in its fifth year, and in that time the Rural City of Murray Bridge has given away more than 12,000 plants to residents!🌱
These plants play an important role in:
- Supporting and increasing local biodiversity
- Reducing household water usage
- Providing food and habitat for native pollinators and wildlife
Every native plant available on the day has been propagated by our dedicated Community Nursery volunteers - from collecting seed and cuttings, nurturing their growth, right through to handing them over to residents.
What’s available?
3000 plants of various species will be available to residents of the Rural City of Murray Bridge. Quantities will be allocated as per property size until stock runs out:
🏡 Properties up to 500m²= 5 plants
🏡 Properties over 500m²= 10 plants
The Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board will be at the native plant giveaway.
Come say hello, learn more about the Woody Meadow native plant trial, and pick up a free Woody Meadow plant (one per household, while stock lasts).
📍Proof of address is required on the day for all plant collections.
Make a morning of it!
While your there:
- The Brinkley ReUse Centre will be open - grab a coffee from the café and have a browse.
- The Murray Bridge City Lions Club will have a sausage sizzle and cold drinks available to purchase.
