S tate O f S kullduggery : Labor Lies and deceit rearing their familiar ugly heads at election time! DON'T BE CONNED : take notice of actions not words.
ALP State Secretary Kate Flanders says "Steven Miles has had a fantastic campaign showing Queenslanders who he really is". So let's examine who Steven Miles is BY HIS PAST ACTIONS not his forked tongue aimed at continued enjoyment of Labor's gravy train at your expense and HARD LABOR:
When elected to its first term this Labor government said it would protect koalas and their habitat. As Minister for Environment and Heritage Protection Miles issued a Environmental Authority (EPML00872713) to CSR, holder of Mining Lease 1128 at Wheaton Street, Narangba. This 40+ acre land holding was STATE MAPPED as Remnant Vegetation and Koala Habitat with a documented RESIDENT KOALA COLONY. Environmental Compliance Inspection of mining practices being conducted documented "current increased activity at the site after many years of it being FAIRLY DORMANT. Living just around the corner I know that this mining lease had been TOTALLY DORMANT for years. Jacki Trad, former Labor "I CON " and Minster For Planning replied to my objections to the CLEARING OF KOALA HABITAT; "I hope this explains the limitations of the planning scheme in protecting koala habitat where mining activity is authorised to occur ". Authorised to occur DOES NOT EQUATE to occurring. All three LABOR MINISTERS, Steven Miles, Jacki Trad and Minister For Mines Anthony Lynham all knew that CSR was using the ruse of a long dormant Clay Mining Lease to circumvent SPP and SPRP and legitimise the destruction of the the larges parcel of environmentally significant land in Narangba . In response to my strong objections about unlawfully using the Koala Offsets Policy to facilitate CSR converting koalas into koala$, all three ministers reneged on their governments undertaking to PROTECT KOALA HABITAT. A habitat which since 2005 Council overlayed as Green Space and Nature Conservation reinforced by State Mapping.
