Finished New Town reno!
This one is a great example of what can be achieved when you’re willing to compromise and embrace just what you need.
We love how our clients weren’t sucked into the “just in cases” such as an extra bedroom or second living and they chose to focus their budget on the spaces they spend the most time in and hardest working areas. This project came in on budget apart from a few cheeky extras the client chose! And is only 7m2 bigger than the existing home.
The old draughty 70’s extension was removed and the original brick bungalow kept as is. New sunny, insulated and sealed living dining and kitchen - epic view to back yard! A new mudroom/ laundry “the hardest working room in this home” including laundry, bike storage, dog door, it can literally be hosed out!
And a new mini bathroom for washing the mud off after a trail run! Well get proper photos soon cause it’s a goodie!

More light, insulation, double glazing, function, comfort, fun + productive landscape and COLOUR!

The blue kitchen is a winner.

Hello good people!

We are looking to welcome a new operations, engagement + marketing coordinator to support our design staff!

This role will keep our resources organised and our design staff supported, will be a first point of contact for enquiries with warmth and lead potential clients on a clear and trusting journey, they will champion our values and share our story with our audience on social media platforms to build engagement.

If you share our values, are interested in making a difference in the built environment have a fast brain and are organised +/ or experience in small business admin + social media we’d love to hear from you!

It’s a permanent part time role, based out of Hobart or Launceston, working from home and some time in the office.

Our most recently completed Home Improvement - what a joy!

This one was a team effort - that’s how we roll.
Concept design by Jane, documentation and detailed design by Seb and interior selections and colours by Rosie.

We cleaned up the circulation, brought more light in, created a functional kitchen and heart of the home, added a small but functional deck and a colour palette that draws on the surrounding eucalypts.

They were glistening with colour in today’s rain!

We’ve just finished the drawings for final approvals for this wonderful little home.

It’s a special one …. recycled bricks, lofts, epic window seats, pergola opening up to a curved courtyard, wood stove in the kitchen…… 😍

It’s going to be lovely.

Designful’s latest complete home Improvement!

We joined our favourite builders, wonderful clients and their neighbours on the new deck to celebrate this new home!

This one included:
Removal of rundown *very* small 3rd bedroom and back steps + dark out building.

We added a new main bedroom with ample robe space, a second bathroom and new lower level multipurpose room including murphy bed.
New upper and lower level decks for direct outdoor access and link to the garden.

Work was isolated to one part of this home thus making good use of available budget - we kept the existing functional kitchen and bathroom.

The outcome is an easy, flowy home that embraces the large back yard.

How does your home impact how you feel?
How can your home contribute to your health and well-being?

Sometimes we get sucked into believing that things that “look good”, reduce our life labor and provide uber comfort are what we need to strive for to make our lives “better” ….

It’s actually the simple things, like sufficient sunshine, easy access to outside, direct connection to our comfort, a lack of unnecessary stuff, considered colour and flow that contribute to well being.

Your home doesn’t need to be big, expensive and defiantly kit luxury to feel good and keep you healthy, it just needs to be considered and meaningful.
