First up for 2026 was this mixed hardwood deck. The timber received a paint stripper coat followed by a triple stage sand to really bring out the timber grains. My Festool equipment handled the 40/80/120 grit sands, finishing off with 2 coats of Haymes Dexpress.
Jobs like this can be laborious but it brings me great job satisfaction in the end!

Spring has well and truely sprung, every spring I get deck refinishing jobs and this was one of them, this project had a thick paint membrane like finish, which proved difficult to remove.

Ofcourse my Festool equipment was able to achieve an awesome finish. Once the old material was removed after multiple layers of paint stripper, 40 Grit sand, followed by 80/120 grits it showed a mix of merbau and Spotted Gum.

Stain colour is Haymes Dexpress Merbau.
