The property market has been on fire lately. If you are looking to sell, a refresh or complete restoration of your timber floors should be on the list of jobs/touch ups for pre sale.
A simple and inexpensive top coat on your existing finish, can remove medium to light scratches and eliminate any sheen issues you may have as a result of heavy traffic and/or a deteriorating finish.
Or, like the above photos, you may go for a full restoration. Especially opting for a lighter, modern finish to open the place up with more light. Our client originally got us in to re sand the stair case back to bare timber as it was finished in an inferior product and had bad UV damage. After seeing how incredible the timber came up, the client consulted with their agent about re-sanding the entire floor. It too had a product that was delaminating and had become glossy in high traffic areas, as well as a terrible sanding job. Both the client and agent made the unanimous decision to re sand the whole house, and agreed that after the floors were completed, the return would be well worth the investment.
