Renovating a mid-century house does not always require adding much space. Sometimes changing where everyday activities happen can have a greater effect on how the entire house is experienced.
For this project, architects reorganized an existing 1960s plan around light, the garden, and daily routines. Reconfiguring the house’s main spaces allowed the kitchen to gain a street-facing outlook, while the bedrooms were moved to quieter areas oriented toward the garden.
