💛 R U OK? Day 💛
We should never assume someone is ok.
For a long time, I hid my own highs and lows. I felt embarrassed — like admitting I wasn’t ok would be seen as a sign of weakness. Even my closest friends often had no idea, because I kept it all to myself.
Then I lost my best friend to su***de. We spoke every day. We shared everything. And still, I didn’t know what he was going through. I couldn’t stop what happened.
That loss changed me. Now, I make it a priority to ask the question — not just today, but every day.
Family. Friends. Work colleagues. Strangers.
Because sometimes, just asking “Are you OK?” can open a door someone desperately needs.
Please, check in. It could mean more than you realise.
