Courtyards set within the curved form of our Summertown Vine House frame panoramic views of the Adelaide Hills. They create intimate and sheltered outdoor spaces, as well as drawing northern sunlight into the interior. The roofline of the home follows the slope of the land, maintaining a low profile within the landscape. Dark external finishes allow it to sit quietly in the shadows of the surrounding gum trees. Inside, the atmosphere shifts - with natural finishes bringing light and warmth to the living spaces.

This new home in Summertown is nestled between the forest and vines. The house has been designed to open up to the surroundings while keeping a low profile on the side of the hill. More to come soon!

At our Stirling House project, a glazed link connects the different parts of the home while maintaining a constant relationship to the garden. The dark pavilions form a strong yet quiet backdrop to the soft landscaping.

The footprint of our recently completed Stirling House weaves gently between the established tall eucalypts and leafy deciduous trees, embedding the new home gently within the landscape. Virginia Kennett’s garden design ties everything together, creating a magical botanic garden-like setting that is everchanging across the seasons.

A new verandah connects and brings together different parts of the house as part of our additions and alterations project in Port Willunga. Dining room, outdoor living, bunkhouse and garage all come together in one simple gesture. The new verandah provides shade and privacy, and a great connection to the garden.

We love hot summer sunsets down the coast! This recently completed project in Port Willunga uses materials such as 'batten and board' cladding, Besser blocks and timber linings - just like the classic Aussie shacks of days gone by. Living and circulation spaces are centred around a 2 storey, densely vegetated courtyard which gives privacy from the shared driveway and multiple neighbours. Balconies, balustrades and screening at the upper level have been carefully designed with a mix of solid and open elements to give great views out to the sea and hills, while maintaining privacy for both the occupants and neighbours.

Our Prospect House project is now complete! This addition to a small Victorian bluestone cottage maximises it's outlook and connection to the backyard, where the owners spend much of their time. The extension creates a newly defined street presence and welcoming entry to the home.
