Well it’s been a very busy start to 2026, and now that we have finally had some rainfall, we have had some time to catch up on our socials to share what the team has been up to lately.

During the recent Victorian bushfires, our team headed out north to Yarck to provide support to the local community and CFA, supplying water to the town and being on standby to aid in fighting the fires.

As a result of the storms recently, there are many house without power unfortunately. Luckily enough for Emerald Primary School, Kraan contracting and Treasuring our Trees has come to the rescue to supply temporary power, FREE of charge.

⚠️UPDATE⚠️ A Boil Water Advisory is still in place for Koo Wee Rup – your water may not be safe to drink.

We’re currently investigating the cause of contaminated water entering the local water supply in Koo Wee Rup. As a precaution boil your tap water until you are told it is safe by South East Water.

Our teams are working around the clock to return the water supply to normal. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to you our customers. Your safety is our top priority.

You can fill up your bottles, pots, kettles, etc. at one of our emergency water tankers, at the location listed below:

🚛 FROM MONDAY – Koo Wee Rup Recreation Reserve, 30 Denhams Road, Koo Wee Rup

Important: If you have bought alternate drinking water please get in contact with our Accounts and Billing team on 13 16 94 (8 am – 6 pm, Monday to Friday) so that we can arrange a refund. For any other queries contact our 24/7 Faults and Emergencies team on 13 28 12.

We’ve posted notifications on our website and social media and have contacted critical customers directly. We have also sent emails and SMS messages for those customers whose mobile numbers and/or emails we have in our system.

I am sorry to anyone who did not get water this weekend. We have been working flat out since Friday afternoon on the fires and have not had a chance to deliver any water. We have been supplying fire trucks, spraying the sides of the road and doing asset protection. We have had a long few days but hopefully things have calmed down a bit now on the fire ground.

We are terribly sorry to anyone who lost their house due to this fire. Our thoughts are with you and your families.

We are currently delivering domestic water again today, however there is a waiting list.

I thank everyone for being so patient and understand with the situation.
