Day 3 of a 2 hectare property slashing job was finishing along a fence line with a brush cutter I had to borrow from a friend as mine decided to pack it in on day 2 of the job. Was quite interesting that the premises next door that said the long grass was a health risk for rodents etc., didn't mind throwing rubbish like mops over the fence line knowing the property wasn't in development stage as such. Property is going to be a small shopping centre once finished.

Today's effort till spindle on one blade decided to die after hitting some reo and other crap in the long grass. Day 2 of slashing job that should have managed to do in one day.

Beginning of day 1 of a large mowing job that I thought would only take the one day but will be a 2 day job. 2 hectares of mowing on a commercial plot. Grass is much thicker and wetter where I didn't look when quoted the job.
Thanks Jade for coming to help mow and giving me a break from mowing yesterday.

Review of the Hustler Raptor 52 inch deck
So far with about 20 hours on it, I have found it is a great zero turn mower. Basic service at 10 hours is dead easy and doesn't take long to do.
It has enough power to cut tall heavy grass if you take it easy and don't over stress the motor, especially when running it in. With the mulching kit installed it does a much better job of cutting the grass and left over mulch into smaller pieces, making much smaller mulch which will decompose much faster.

This is the 6th cutting of the grass and mulching of 3 foot high grass with both a tractor and slasher and the Hustler Raptor 52 inch zero turn. The last mow was with the mulch kit on the zero turn which cuts the current mulch into a smaller cut and fresh mulch when doing fresh mowing on regularly cut grass.

One species of plant namely the Genus: Xanthorrhoea, are a plant that when clearing property, one must keep a good eye out for. A couple common names include grasstree or grass gum-tree. They are a protected plant and both land-owner or anyone working on the property are liable if any of these plants are killed or moved.

Slow work of clearing vines that are killing or have killed quite a few trees. These vines are that strong they either lift 2 ton of tractor off the ground or stop it real quick when trying to get the roots out of the ground. Slow work because have to be careful of dead branches / trees falling when trying to pull the remaining vines of the trees and working in amongst tightly grouped trees etc.
