It has been a busy week with moving back home to complete some local jobs after 3 months, we just completed 800 meters of 7 wire barb boundary fence the last few days as well as fencing off some drains
There is definitely a few perks that go along with working locally with being able to have my little offsider visit me on the fence line for lunch 👌

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Years, here is a few of the odd jobs we have completed of the last month up in Smithton, from fencing drains, pine post and rail to stop the pesky cattle from messing with moisture meters under the pivots and the time consuming job of putting in pivot gateways

Just a quick update on what we have been up to the past week, we have been clearing old fence lines and levelling them out so the 900mm mesh with 300mm vermin flap sits nice and flat on the ground to keep those pesky wallabies on the outside

Been a busy few weeks clearing old boundary and putting up a new boundary fence for a property development in the southern midlands of Tasmania, we have over 5 km out of the 10km of fence in ready for the vermin mesh to be put on, we are currently waiting on the mesh to turn up since it is all sold out, can’t wait to see the truck rolling in with all the mesh so we can finally see the final product

Over the past few months we have been working hard on upgrading to new gear and last week after 2 months we took delivery of a king hitter expander which is capable of pumping in 4.3mt post with a rock spike for punching into hard stuff, and today we took delivery of a 2014 case maxxum 115 to update the tired cx85 McCormack and to say be already are putting the combination to work 👌🤙

Thing have been very hectic at GLK contracting the past month, we are in the process of finishing off a dairy conversion in the north east near Scottsdale and the final touches will be done next weekend , after we finish up in Smithton in the north west on Friday and while the machines are moved down to the southern highlands, with the addition of a few new toys to add to the team
