Drawing by hand is such an enjoyable process, though I must admit it comes with its challenges. Usually, I find a zone of concentration kicks in after the first 20mins or so and it's smooth sailing, but...

Yes, I have had to start a drawing all over again because;

A spill.

Wrong colour picked up by mistake.

Realised I'd inked something in that was revised out on the last draft.

Erased a bit too enthusiastically, ripping the paper.

I draw designs by hand using alcohol-based ink markers and multi-liners before digitally adding the design information including planting schemes and layout elements.

Hi all! Pleased to share the details of some more communities that would like to share their details.

If you're new here, or a bit unsure of what Permaculture at the Pub is, it's a concept encouraging grassroots connections. This group online is a useful place to share about your community and encourage others by letting them know there ar like-minded locals around them.

The whole point is that there is no organisation or barrier to entry. Just like bumping into your friends on a Friday night and staying to watch the footy, this is like gardener's night and locals know there's a good chance on that night of the month that other local gardeners might be out and about.

Wrapped up in time for Christmas, this homestead design brought together aesthetics, resilience, climate considerations and lifestyle through permaculture principles. Hard to pick a favourite part of this one as my own style and preferences aligned so closely with the client. A gorgeous woodland walk, Beatrix Potter veggie patch and naturalistic borders around the home were all contenders. A thank you to the amazing people that make it possible for us to do this work!

Happy new year everyone, have tried to do a bit of a roundup of all events, but with all the local details it does start to get messy - please let me know if I need to update something.

If you're new, it might seem counter productive but what we're trying to support here is local connections and local stewardship - that clashes with trying to do a top down round up of details and share in one place but of course it helps if we all have one place to refer to the details, especially when members of the group do travel to different events around the place.

Looking forward to another year of community building, from connections comes resilience.

We'll be at Paterson Tavern on Thursday 5 Feb from 6pm.
