A spa might just be the hardest-working part of any pool.

Sure, it looks great, but it’s also the spot where morning coffees happen, where parents escape for five minutes of peace, and where friends end up gathering long after the kids have finished swimming!

One of the biggest advantages of integrating a spa into your pool design is that it extends the enjoyment of your backyard beyond the warmer months. While the pool might get a little less use in winter, the spa is often the exact opposite.

From a design perspective, a well-integrated spa can become a real feature of the pool. Whether it’s elevated with a spillway, tucked seamlessly into the pool shell, or designed as a statement piece, it adds another layer of interest and functionality to the space.

There’s something about a pool at night that changes everything.

This Lilyfield project was designed to feel calm, clean and understated after dark. Warm lighting tucked through the landscaping, illuminates the simple palette that lets the water do the talking.
