Functional reasons for adding drawers into your kitchen design!

Let me know if you find these helpful or if you have some of these in your kitchen and how you find them 🤍

-Store spices in a drawer right next to the stove for ease when cooking

-Have a bin drawer next to the sink. It’s so much cleaner and neater having it stored away. Our bins can pull out and be easily removed for cleaning so ask your cabinet maker about this.

-Install an internal drawer above the bin to store items such as rubbish bags, baking paper and cling wrap. This is such a space saver!

-Drawer’s inside the pantry are awesome, they allow easier access and make it a breeze to quickly see everything you have

I hope these help 🤍

Here it is! The highly requested close up of our honed aggregate. I thought I would answer a couple of the most common questions you guys have been asking as well.

As you can see it is a highly labour intensive job which is why it is more expensive than other options.

The concrete colour we chose was coral by .The concrete company was top form concrete developments (not on Instagram) and it was honed by

We are so happy with the colour and feel it ties in so well with the rest of our selections. We will be having the same stone cladding that’s around our fireplace, in the backyard as well which will pick up the orange stones in the aggregate. I wanted flecks of colour to subtly break up all of the white out here.

What do you think? Is there anything else you would like to know or see?

If you’ve ever renovated you’ll understand that it’s a journey. It doesn’t happen overnight and it’s usually years of planning before the first tool is put to work.

I can’t really put into words what a huge moment it is for us to see our pool build complete. We have been dreaming of having a swimming pool to enjoy for years and with a small backyard it was questionable if we could even make it happen.

I do want to give a massive shout out to Russ, Chris and the team at for making the almost impossible happen! So glad we put our trust in you and so grateful you understood the vision and just “got it” right from the start! I don’t think you ever once said no even when I wanted to add difficult design aspects like the curved steps. Thank you for treating our pool build as if it was your own. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and workmanship is second to none.

Also a big shout out to Steve and the team at who did an incredible job of the plaster work! We are blown away by the stunning finish on the glass bead plaster. I absolutely love that the beads reflect the colour of the sky meaning the pool is a different colour everyday, just like the beach which is everything I imagined and more. It really has taken our pool to the next level 🙌

The next step out here will be to cover the limestone wall with weatherboard cladding.

If you’ve been along for this journey with us from the start I would love to hear what you think of our finished pool 🤍

When the brief is lush, tropical resort but you basically live in the desert 🤣🏜️

popped over a couple of weeks ago to give me some help with our plant selections. I know I didn’t make it easy for her with the brief, as Perth summers are brutal when it comes to tropical plants 🤣

Bonnie is a wealth of knowledge though and has suggested these golden cane palms for this garden bed by our pool, outdoor shower and the view that our kitchen window is looking out at. We’ve taken her advice with getting our soil right first and although this isn’t an ideal time of year for planting I’m hoping the fact that we haven’t hit full 40° weeks yet will help these babies settle in 🤞

Looking forward to seeing what Bonnie comes up with for our other garden beds out here.

Does your garden have a theme or do you mix and match different plant styles?
