Authentic late-Victorian design with ornate rope swag detailing, baluster-style front bars, and a shell motif apron.
Professionally treated for rust, and two coats of high-temperature stove black paint, plus one extra coat of mat black high temperature enamel for long lasting protection.
These grates were originally hand-cast in Britain during the late 19th century for open fireplaces, designed to hold coal or wood while allowing air to circulate for efficient burning.
