200+ Year old Jarrah tree.
It's amazing what you find when you're out for a walk. This magnificent specimen is estimated to be over 200 years old.
Running a tape measure around the trunk, even though there is a large cavity as a result of losing one half (seen as the black hole), it still had a circumference of 7.5m. Jarrah dieback disease has devastating effects on our Jarrah, and Banksia woodlands, it's crucial we stay clear of infected areas to avoid transferring the disease from one place to another.
If you have Jarrah, Banksia or other suseptible species to dieback, there are steps you can take. PM us to find out how, and for more information.
