Nia is an art teacher of more than 13 years, a mummy to a three year old little boy, wife and currently studying her Masters in Education. When she is not teaching, she operates a small design studio in Brisbane Australia under

Nia lives on half an acre with her little family in a suburban farmhouse which they are currently renovating aka Daisy Hill Farmhouse. Her love of in

terior design and art is apparent in her home. She is surrounded by nature, her 2 ragdoll cats, 4 chickens and 3 beehives which they harvest raw honey & honeycomb from. This provides plenty of moments of learning and enquiry for the whole family, and sometimes these moments make it into her books, and artworks.

Playrooms are forever evolving as babies grow into toddlers so this room has been hard to put together until now. I bought the kitchen on clearance from Kmart, but they’ve just brought out a new already white & gold one doh! What’s your one year old loving right now?

I have wanted a potting station for so long (never got around to making one at Daisy Hill Farmhouse) so when I found this workbench on Facebook Marketplace Community I knew I could transform it into a functional space for my gardening hobby. First I spray painted the mdf surfaces with White Knight Paints from Bunnings Warehouse Australia let that dry whilst looking through my box of reno leftovers from different houses. I attached random gold k***s, curtain rails & a cute garden hooks storage to the bench. I even managed to find this beautiful book The Complete Australian Gardener at my local Salvos Stores for $2 🙌🏼 I’m so happy with the practical space I have created

We have 10 containers of pure raw honeycomb available. We’ll be doing a honey harvest this weekend which I’ll post when we know how much we’ve taken.
