Our story began when Nina was a child, helping her mum press and fold curtains on the patio on balmy Perth evenings. Now it’s come full circle. Your curtains will be crafted in Nina's mother’s textile factory (where you can often find her son playing under the sewing machine!) then fitted with care of Nina's husband and brother. As much as we appreciate technology (just check out our smart motorisation options), we have noticed the shift to everything mass-produced and online has come at the cost of service. We go against the current, standing proud in our love for custom-made and the art of service. Our relationships with our clients are everything to us – and are the lifeblood of our business. Almost two years ago, we moved into this space … and somehow, it’s become such a big part of what we do. 🤍

Our showroom was created as a place for our clients to see and feel the fabrics, compare colours, explore options and bring their vision to life - all in a relaxed, private setting.

Since moving in, we’ve had countless fabric selections, mood boards and plenty of those “this is exactly what I was looking for” moments. And honestly, we still love seeing a project come together from those very first decisions.

It’s also a space that continues to evolve with us, and looking around at it now, we couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come.

A huge thank you to every client who has visited us, trusted us with their homes, recommended us to friends and followed along on the journey. 🫶🏼

Today we’re celebrating International Women’s Day, which makes it the perfect time to shine a spotlight on Nina.

The heart and driving force behind Perth Window Decor. She might be a little reluctant to step in front of the camera, but today we’re shining the light on her in full force.

If you’ve ever met Nina, you’ll know one thing straight away: she doesn’t do things by halves. As she heads into her 12th year in business, that same determination, attention to detail, and quiet persistence are still the backbone of everything we do.

She works bloody, bloody hard! Often in ways no one ever sees. The long days, the problem-solving, the constant focus on getting every detail right… it all happens quietly behind the scenes so that what we deliver to our clients feels effortless.

We’re still very much a small team, and that’s something Nina will never let go of. Staying close to the work means keeping a sharp eye on every detail and making sure the standards she cares so deeply about show up in everything we do.

International Women’s Day is about recognising the strength, resilience, and impact of women across every industry, and Nina embodies that every single day. She leads with determination, integrity, and a genuine passion for what she does.

So today we’re celebrating more than just the finished projects people see. We’re celebrating the late nights, the tough decisions, the behind-the-scenes hustle, and the commitment to doing things the right way.
