We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Professor Kingsley Dixon AO for being honored with the 2026 WA Senior Australian of the Year award. He has significantly advanced the preservation of Australia's native flora. His groundbreaking work includes the pivotal 1992 discovery that smoke triggers the germination of Australian plants following bushfires. Additionally, he collaborates extensively with Aboriginal communities to develop native seed initiatives.

We also want to recognize all the nominees, ambassadors, and the four award recipients for 2026.

Griff was pleasantly surprised to be among the finalists and felt privileged to meet everyone last night. 🌿
