Chinese Emperor Jasmine (Jasminum sambac ‘Chinese Emperor’)

A stunning and highly sought-after jasmine variety, prized for its exquisite, creamy-white, rose-like double flowers and intense sweet fragrance.

Blooming throughout the warmer months, this beautiful evergreen shrub is perfect for pots, patios and fragrant gardens. Its aromatic flowers are also traditionally used to scent jasmine tea.

Growing conditions: Full sun to partial shade, in rich, well-drained soil. Grows approximately 1.5m tall.

Scientific name: Pouteria campechiana

Canistel is a unique tropical fruit tree producing beautiful golden-yellow fruits with rich, sweet, creamy flesh and a texture similar to cooked egg yolk.

The fruit has a delicious flavour reminiscent of sweet potato, pumpkin and custard. Enjoy it fresh or use it in smoothies, milkshakes, desserts and ice cream.

An interesting tropical fruit plant with large, glossy green leaves and unusual green fruits that gradually turn pale yellow to creamy white as they ripen.
The ripe fruit has a very distinctive aroma and a long history of traditional use throughout Polynesia and Southeast Asia. It’s commonly made into juice, tonics and other traditional preparations rather than eaten fresh.
Sensitive to cold, especially when young – protect from cold weather and frost. Keep well watered during warmer weather. A great addition to a tropical or rare fruit collection.
