The wall you wake up facing matters more than most people give it credit for. In this Marmion bedroom, the dark timber panelling and integrated headboard were designed together as one piece of joinery, not assembled from separate furniture. That is the difference between a room that holds together and one that just has nice things in it.

This is what a living room wall looks like before and after the joinery arrives. Raw plaster, wiring, and builder’s markings become a wall of dark timber cabinetry that houses the television, conceals the cables, and anchors the entire room. That transformation only happens when the joinery is designed as architecture, not as furniture.

Storage is usually the last thing people think about when they’re planning a new home. By then, the budget is stretched and the decisions get made in a hurry. This walk-in robe was designed at the same time as every other room in the house, with the same level of detail. It shows.
