“Take Your Time “ 🌳☀️

We all need a reminder to slow down.

This painting was inspired by those quiet moments when the world seems to pause—a bench beneath an old tree, warm sunlight filtering through the leaves, and nowhere else you need to be.

As always, I started with a reference, but I never simply copy it. I keep painting until it feels like my own place… somewhere I’d love to sit and stay for a while.

Another one finished!

This is the third painting in my new collection of woodland landscapes. I loved painting all the little details in this one—the mossy rocks, fallen leaves, and the sunlight finding its way through the trees.

I hope it gives you the same peaceful feeling I had while painting it.

“Where Summer Lingers"
For almost a year, this painting lived in our home before it was finished.

The funny thing is that we both ( my husband Zoran and myself )wanted to paint this scene. We argued (more than once 😄) about who would get to do it. In the end, Zoran won.

And now, looking at it hanging on the wall, I can’t even be jealous anymore.

What I love most is the light—the kind of summer light that makes everything seem quieter for a moment. The fields, the old buildings, the clouds drifting across the sky… it feels like a memory you can step into.

Some paintings are finished in days. This one took patience, persistence, and countless small decisions over the course of nearly a year.

I think it was worth the wait.

“THE WAY HOME”

The second painting in my new landscape collection is now complete.

A quiet road winds through an autumn woodland, leading toward a warm light in the distance. While painting this piece, I kept thinking about that familiar feeling of returning home—the comfort of a place where you belong and the peace that comes with finding your way back.

Rich autumn colours, soft light, and atmospheric shadows come together to create a sense of warmth, nostalgia, and welcome.
