There are some jobs out there that can make you or break you.. lucky we love a challenge as a Stormseal Accredited Installer.. this one has everything in it.. Heptagon shaped rooms.. very steep pitch and over 1100 square metres of film on a heritage listed home.. you definitely can’t tarp that.. Stormseal is the product for this project

Haven’t put many posts on lately.. but we have hit two massive milestones.. been a bit slow going lately.. Waiting for people who wanted sand.. got to the point and paid to give it to Marangaroo Golf Course..

Two milestone are.. we have now dug out all sand and at footing level.. 55 cubes out on the Saturday and Sunday thanks to Kennards Hire conveyors.. all hand dug out.. thanks again Nathan and my beautiful wife Laura.. then another 44 cubes moves by mini excavator 2 days later.. gave the back a rest.. other is super exciting.. but scary.. Car elevators are here with new scissor.. now we have them we can setout all of the concrete floor

Yet another huge week and weekend.. lots of digging.. a massive 30T machine to reach the back 1/4’ers.. got the retaining completed.. filled in layers with loads of compacting and we are almost at ground level.. stairs gone and we are finally filled up to our new ground level minus slab.. exciting to see it coming.. it was the only reason we were apprehensive on purchasing this house.. but this is definitely making it our forever home.. massive thanks to Nathan again.. we would be nowhere without you bro..

Kicked some huge goals with another massive couple of weeks.. got the final pour on the pit piling wall on Monday, stripped form work on Tuesday/ Wednesday, excavator off hired, returned formwork on Wednesday afternoon, first coat of sealer on Thursday with recon block and sand delivery on Thursday with setup of area for retaining wall on Friday.. Huge thanks to Nathan for Saturday and Sunday.. smashed out a 95 block retaining wall and put some more bracing in the pit..

Been a good couple of months so th Stormseal on the Marangaroo Renovation.. Stormseal went on and we had a couple of Perth storms come through without notice.. Best thing we ever did for the renovation..

Massive milestone with our first concrete pour for the garage on Monday.. huge weekend with formwork delivered on Thursday morning..

Few more long days and we are now preparing for the first concrete pour and to start the landscaping.. split level comes with challenges.. but there is always a way

Not a lot going on out the front for the moment.. waiting for the Formwork engineer and delivery of Formwork to start the pit.. but that doesn’t mean there isn’t things to do.. back out the back onto that project..

Another big week of changes on Laura and Chad’s renovation.. not a lot moving at the front of the house while we wait for amendments to the building plans, but that doesn’t mean we have nothing to do..

We did get to a major milestone today.. broke through the first footing from the house to the existing garage.. this is massive; always the hardest to break.. especially this close to the house and 1.2m lower than the house..

Jobs for the week have been demolition of a very dodgy staircase.. well built from brick, but bit to steep for BCA’s and a complete waste of space.. so a per usual.. we have multi ou posed an area.. stairs have moved and now has a small garden shed built into the retained area.. oh and a start to the new Catio.. lol. This was going to be the last job, but with investigative cats and realistically the very back of the block.. it should be the first.. This was the only part of the section that was used as a dumping ground, wasted space and this is definitely the best use of the area.. limestone alls, paving, water tanks and reticulated lawn to follow.. but it may have to be sit for the site clean up, garage formwork and initial concrete pour.

Chad and Laura’s renovation.. just over a week since last post.. another big week and ticked off a couple of big milestones.. all of the garage walls down and roof stripped back with Stormseal on; feeling a whole lot safer knowing that Stormseal is installed.

Big Changes with Chad and Laura’s Owner Build Renovation.

As most people that know us would have heard.. we have finally got our renovation off paper and started the demo.
This is going to be a very large scale renovation and will bing all of our dreams together.

We have put up a timelapse camera to show us where our project has come from and to bring the project to everyone that can’t make it around to see.
