Is it cheaper to leave your aircon running all day or turn it off when you leave?

This one comes up a lot and the answer genuinely surprises most people.

The short version: turn it off and use the timer. You'll walk into a comfortable house without paying to run it through an empty afternoon.

If your system hasn't been serviced in a while, that's usually where the bigger savings are hiding. Give us a call and we can take a look.

If your power bill has crept up lately but nothing obvious has changed, your aircon could be the culprit.

Most of the time it's not the system itself. It's how it's being used, or how long it's been since anyone looked after it properly. A few small things can quietly add up over months without you realising.

If yours hasn't been serviced in a while, it's probably working harder than it needs to. We can sort that out.

Most people switch off their aircon once winter hits. That's actually when problems start.

Running your system for just 15 to 20 minutes, once or twice a week, is all it takes to keep things in good working order. It costs next to nothing and saves you from a nasty repair bill when summer rolls back around.

Winter is almost here and if your evaporative system hasn't been properly shut down, you could be looking at some serious problems by the time summer rolls around.

Here's what happens when you don't shut down properly 👇

💧 Water sits in the system all winter → mould growth in your pads
🪨 Minerals in the water dry out → calcium buildup on components
🌬️ No cover on the unit → cold drafts coming through your ceiling vents all winter
☀️ Come October → damaged pads, blocked components, expensive repairs

The good news? A proper winter shutdown takes care of all of this in one visit. Here's what it involves:
