This year, I’m proud to be taking part in Cancer Council’s Stars of Hastings event, helping raise money to support cancer research, prevention and services for those affected by cancer.
Cancer is something that touches nearly everyone in one way or another, which is why I wanted to get involved and give back to our local community… even if it means stepping completely out of my comfort zone and putting on my dancing shoes. 😅
I also wanted to do this to show my kids the importance of giving back to the community, supporting others and stepping outside your comfort zone to make a difference.
Over the next few months, I’ll be fundraising through special events, raffles, giveaways and a few fun ideas that I can’t wait to share with you all.
Last night was the official launch, and because I’m currently away overseas on holidays, my beautiful daughter Charlotte stepped up and represented me at the launch. I was honestly so proud of her — she did absolutely amazing, a big thank you as well to Jake, her boyfriend, for going along with her for support. It honestly meant so much knowing they were both there representing me while I’m away.
I’m also so excited to officially meet my dance teacher Jamanda… and yes, our dance style is 80s! 🕺✨ Safe to say this is going to be fun, slightly terrifying and definitely entertaining.
If you’d like to support this incredible cause, the donation link is below. Every donation, share, message and word of support truly means the world to me. Thank you so much for supporting both me and this amazing cause ❤️
