Well that wraps up 2025 for Woodvale and our amazing staff.
We have once again fulfilled an amazing year providing Professional Arborist services throughout the region undertaking works for our many valued contracts and customers.
We finished our year off making the gateway into Port Macquarie a little safer and pleasing to the eye by undertaking safety works on the Oxley highways route into Port Macquarie.
This works was nearly 2 years in the making and was undertaken over the last two weeks.
We understand many local residents may have heard the works during the early hours of the morning and we Thankyou for your understanding that TfNSW had limited options for traffic diversions being the main arterial route in and out of town so night works was the ideal solution, however what I recognise is the amazing work our team and all the contractors involved had put in over Nine monumental nights to make this possible and completed safely.
Switching a daily routine of day work to night works over such a long period of time and giving up family and personal time in the lead up to Christmas is nothing short of incredible..
To all our Family’s and businesses involved in keeping the Woodvale machine running we wish you a merry Christmas and a wonderful new year.
See you all on the other side!!

MEDIA RELEASE from Rob Dwyer MP regarding Oxley Highway Improvements.

Work Continues to Address Safety and Improve Appearance Along the Oxley Highway Corridor. Member for Port Macquarie, Robert Dwyer, said work will continue this week to remove several dangerous trees along the Oxley Highway road reserve, paving the way for the replacement of fencing between Wrights Road and Fernhill Road.

“As the main gateway into Port Macquarie, the current state of the fencing is unacceptable. It reflects poorly on the entrance to our beautiful town and lacks the pride our community deserves,” Mr Dwyer said.

“Many residents have raised their concerns with me, particularly while sitting in traffic congestion along this section of road. They want to see this fixed and so do I.”

Mr Dwyer said Transport for NSW have confirmation that a procurement order has been placed for new fencing. However, before installation can begin, several overhanging trees within the road reserve must be removed to ensure safe access for workers.

“These works will continue each night from 7pm to 3am until the 19th of December with Transport for NSW working closely with Essential Energy and Port Macquarie Hastings Council,” Mr Dwyer said.

“Falling trees and branches have caused extensive damage to multiple sections of the fence, leaving several panels completely missing. The broader condition of the road reserve including overgrown weeds and unmanaged vegetation also requires attention and better ongoing maintenance.”

Mr Dwyer reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for timely improvements.
