One of my favourite groundcovers , Dichondra ' silver falls' especially for a drape over effect to add a feature to a retaining wall, or large pot., quick growing, this bed was planted out around 2 years ago. When the lavender is flowering ,with the crepe myrtle feature trees , the effect is incredible, love it !

Bago rock is a versatile, locally sourced rock that we use for smaller garden retainers.It has beautiful natural colours which make it ideal for native themed gardens, no need for ag line installation as it naturally drains when w**d mat is installed behind to prevent soil washout and is a fraction of the cost of sleepers or blocks , labour time is greatly reduced also , we love it and so do our clients!!

Installation of a safer pathway for an elderly client who struggled with original wobbly ,uneven steppers thru the bare garden , removed trip hazard steppers and prepared area with a solid compacted subbase, then covered with softfall 35mm thick artificial turf, added in a solid handrail for improved stability .Done.

Nice and tight job last month , no access at top for machines so all soil/rocks placed by hand , w**d mat behind walls to prevent silt coming thru but provide ultimate drainage , small (dry creek bed ) effect on top of ugly manhole cover , easily removed for access, plus a terraced step down to allow occasional gate access, client brief was easy maintenance, coastal native theme with colour, client wanted a Aloe tree, tho not native but becomes the jewel in the crown , thanks to Dylan Schafer for great assistance on this job ,well done mate!!

Looking for small retaining options , then check out a Bago rock wall design . These are built with w**d mat sheeting placed behind during construction to help prevent any dirt from washing thru gaps but also help with self draining . No need for gravel or ag pipe installation. Finnished off with weatherable "Corten" steel edging and white scoria gravel insert to creat a perfect edge for the whipper snipping.

CYCAD LOOKING SICK !
Severe leaf edge yellowing and leaves stripped usually means they are being attacked by the cycad moth or butterfly , they hatch their eggs on the leaves , and the baby caterpillars munch their way thru it, you may even notice a swarm flying around them a lot , easily controlled by pyrythum type sprays , but move fast , these little critters are hungry!!
