Such a clever idea from a recent customer. Their old garden edging had fallen over so I replaced it with larger treated pine. The customer had the clever idea of painting the timber before installation. Thry used the same colour as their roof and feature pillars. It made the humble timber sleepers look incredible!

Planting yucca plants seemed like a great idea 20 years ago, thankyou Jamie Durie, but now they're creating a nightmare in so many local gardens. Removing a whole, mature plant can be costly, removing a whole heap can cost a ridiculous amount! If you can't afford to remove them you can control their growth to a certain extent by limiting the plant to 2 or 3 trunks with regular pruning. The plant will reshoot new trunks. When these new shoots appear they can be easily cut or snapped off before they get to out of hand.

Small landscaping works are something I love doing. A local customer recently had a new grey water system installed resulting in a change in yard height and a big muddy mess around the new tank. I brought in some new soil to gently transition the new raised height to match the existing lawn height, layed 40 square metres of turf, and covered the tank area with fresh mulch. No more muddy mess and the front yard has been returned to a glorious, functional area.
All done in under 8 hours, and without costly machines saving the customer bucket loads.

A quick day job.
Cutting the old shed slab to shape, removing the concrete waste, digging up the extra soil, laying down some w**d matting, installing new garden edging and spreading 1 tonne of pebbles. The path ties the new deck in nicely with lawn.

Property cleanups can be an absolute nightmare and become a huge, costly exercise. Dumping prices vary massively from one resource centre to the next. Tyres, contaminated materials and even general rubbish can cost a ridiculous amount to dump at most resource centres, but there is usually a legal, low cost alternative if you know where to look. Knowing the right location saved today's customer close to $1000 with this one load of tyres. One local resource centre charging $70 per tyre while another 15 minutes further away charging less than $7.
