Construction is based on durable and economical materials, including concrete tilt panel boundary walls and a simple, efficient roof form. To enhance internal amenity and reduce reliance on artificial lighting, translucent roof sheeting (laser light) is incorporated to provide natural daylight to a minimum of 20% of the warehouse floor area.

Thermal performance is addressed through insulation blanket installed to the underside of the roof sheeting. The design also allows for future sustainability upgrades, including provisional allowance for solar panel installation and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

The relatively flat nature of the site contributes to construction efficiency, reducing the need for extensive earthworks and enabling a more streamlined build process.

Our design of the Porthaul Grain Storage Facility (Portland, Vic) is a large-scale, fire-isolated building for high-capacity grain storage, shaped by efficiency and durability. Clear roof sheeting reduces reliance on artificial lighting, while a steel portal frame and steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC) slab provide the storage and strength needed for demanding agricultural use.

Our design of these beachside Port Melbourne townhouses blends a minimalist approach with the suburb’s heritage, using slimline light Spanish brickwork at the base, reflective glazing above, and a rooftop garden that softens the building into its surroundings.

Set within the coastal township of Lorne along the Great Ocean Road, Lorne House is conceived as a direct response to its steeply sloping site, which falls eight metres from front to rear. The dwelling is arranged as a series of three stepped levels that follow the natural gradient, minimising excavation while maximising outlook.

A grounded base of stone is partially embedded into the site, accommodating the garage and forming a solid plinth to the levels above. From here, a vertical core of lift and stair connects the տուն, rising to a bedroom level that projects outward in a controlled cantilever, orientated entirely toward the ocean.

Above, the uppermost level contains the kitchen, living and dining spaces, opening onto an expansive deck that extends over the levels below. This elevated platform captures uninterrupted coastal views and creates a generous setting for outdoor living. To the rear, a more intimate deck engages with the sheltered garden, offering protection from prevailing winds and establishing a quieter outdoor retreat.

The composition balances solidity and projection, with each level carefully positioned to engage the landscape, frame views, and respond to the demands of the site.

The proposal to create a new facility to continue the family's lineage as a horticultural and cultural institution builds upon the rich history and significance of the family in the rural Victoria community of Silvan/ Monbulk and the Dandenong Ranges. This project can contribute to the preservation of horticultural traditions and provide valuable resources for the surrounding community.

The new facility accommodates everyday activity (processing of bulbs and plants for wholesale and retail sales). The proposed greenhouse will upgrade an obsolete shed to provide modern business facilities into the future.

The bench is conceived as a singular stainless steel element, with the sink moulded seamlessly into the surface to achieve a clean, uninterrupted plane. A folded backsplash extends from the benchtop, reinforcing both function and form.
Above, a minimal shelf integrates concealed LED lighting, casting a soft, even wash across the work surface. The result is a precise, utilitarian detail elevated through careful proportioning and material consistency.

This project involves the development of three small-scale warehouses on a greenfield site, each incorporating a compact office and a storage mezzanine. The design prioritises cost-efficiency and functional simplicity, delivering an optimal balance between budget and performance for the client.

The site has been strategically maximised, with consideration given to future expansion. An adjacent lot, also owned by the client, allows for a mirrored development that can be seamlessly connected at a later stage, enhancing long-term flexibility and value.

The overall building adopts an L-shaped configuration, carefully planned to minimise the extent of internal fire-rated walls while maintaining efficient circulation and layout. A straightforward and practical car parking arrangement further supports usability and cost control.

Nestled in the picturesque spa country of Victoria, this architectural designed house is truly one-of-a-kind. Constructed with BAL-FZ bushfire-rated materials, it is built to withstand even the most severe bushfires. The weathered timber cladding not only adds a beautiful aesthetic to the exterior, but also acts as a natural fire retardant, burning off during a bushfire to protect the underlying structure.

The house is designed to take full advantage of its natural surroundings, with large windows and glass walls capturing breathtaking views of the gully and surrounding trees. The open-plan layout and indoor-outdoor living spaces seamlessly blend the interior with the exterior, creating a harmonious connection to nature.

A small extension in Brunswick East designed to celebrate natural light and honest materials. The addition opens to the north with generous glazing and carefully placed skylights, drawing daylight deep into the plan and creating a seamless connection to the garden. A restrained palette of raw brick, exposed timber and polished concrete grounds the space in warmth and texture, allowing the materials to age gracefully over time. Clean lines and simple forms let light and shadow animate the interiors throughout the day, transforming a compact footprint into a calm, luminous retreat that feels both contemporary and deeply connected to its surroundings.
