It's been a busy week of renovations. Here are a few photos I snapped.
The part that these photos don't show, is how much planning and effort we take. We have pride in our work and as the old saying goes...'under promise and over deliver'.

I even postponed a afternoon celebration on my 58th birthday to finish a big Reno, that's how much I value all my clients.

Pray for some good showers soon. Till then, keep watering twice to three times a week for a good 8ml.

Customer: Can you set the sprinkler to run for 3 minutes at 7AM, again at 7:14 for 10 minutes and again at 8:32 for 16 minutes??

Me: Ya, but why so specific?

Customer: Im tired of these three ladies who bring the dogs by at those time to s**t in my yard!!

It's that time of year when renovations are in full swing. This week we have top dressed 16 cube of sand and scarified six lawns so far.

Today was a fantastic back yard makeover, removed old buffalo, sprayed out w**ds. Topped and added organics, calcium prill and a starter fert. For irrigation we installed mostly rainbird 5000 with smaller areas with the 1804 Sam models with R'Vans

Wide Bay Turf team arrived with 580mt of premium Zoysia Australis... And viola a perfect lawn.

HLS was renovating a Zoysia Empire, been down for just over 2 years. We hear complaints of fungal and lots of thatch, getting to the point that it's impossible to mow.

The answer is a scarification process, HOC (height of cut) reset. A liquid blend applied and consistent watering will bring this back to being on point.

On a side note we have a liquid blend for a maintenance program as it a slow grow so doesn't need as much 'N' as you may think.

Always remember to feed the soil as plants draw nutrients from their roots.

Having the wet weather recently we had had a number of call outs for fungal disease. Photos of Helminthosporium, treated with a broad systemic containing Iprodine

Fungal disease is the infection caused by various types of fungi that thrive in specific environmental conditions. These fungal infections usually appear as discoloured patches or dead grass.

It could be attributed to poor aeration, thatchy or over thick lawn, wet humid conditions. I also find that dull mower blades cause the 'ripped' effect unlike a sharp blade with a neat cut. This tto can cause the leaf to be prone to fungal, also gives the appearance of a brown tinge over the lawn.

Ask me to check or sharpen your blades as a free service while I'm at your appointment.
