Our White Rabbit surrounded by wonderfully tall spire blooms in our Alice in Wonderland walk. Behind is Acanthus ‘Holland Gold’, the purple is a Plectranthus (I think), with some lovely annual Delphinium popping into the scene from the right…

An eye catching combination in our front garden - Cercis ‘Forest Pansy’ growing very askew, Acer ‘Orangeola’ (?) Hypericum and self seeded Euphoria lambii. Holding up well despite the heat…

This gorgeous tree is the Japanese snowbell tree (Styrax japonicus). It gets absolutely covered with lovely dangling white bells. One for the shaded protected part of the garden…

Each year there always seems to be a plant that just catches your eye. We’ve been planting a lot more natives this year, especially in our large middle bed that cooks in the sunshine. This gorgeous little plant is Veronica perfoliata alba. It used to be called Parahebe so you might know it by that name. We’ve planted about four of them, both white flowering and purple flowering, and they have to be one of my favourite plants this year…

We've been working hard to get everything ready and this Sunday is the Day!
We'd love to see you! Jenny has been busy coming up with new garden areas, including an Alice in Wonderland walk.
The garden is about an acre in size with water features, garden sculptures, some dodgy diy crafts and Jenny's wonderful plant collections. There is ample on site parking, plants for sale and tea and coffee available.

Must be Open Garden time as the Helicodiceros muscivorus, the dead horse arum lily, has just opened up and will be smelling of rotting flesh by next Sunday. Impeccable timing as always… 😂🪰🤢

Straightening up some of our garden arches today in preparation of our open garden next Sunday 3rd November. We’re hoping the rest of the Peonies will be open by then.
We do our best to try to make it as safe as possible but it is a private garden so we have some uneven surfaces and narrow pathways. Oh, and a large family of bandicoots that have an endless love of digging holes so you’ll need to be a bit careful about those. They’re quite bold so you might even see one on the day…

Such a wonderful green time of year.
It won’t last, especially where we are in Sandford once the Summer comes but it’s lovely while it lasts…
That’s a gorgeous Philadelphus aurea in the front. Such a great shrub.
