That's a wrap on the 2025 tree season and it's been a tough one to negotiate our way through. Almost no rain for the first six months of the year. Watering was done on a very regular interval, right until the end of May. We were moving water between dams in Summer and Autumn to keep the water supply up to the plants, we have never done this before in 25 years of growing. The plants grew like crazy in the warmth and looked great. June had a green tinge in the paddocks, so 40,000 spots were sprayed across half of the planting sites as the ground was still too dry to plant. A big thank you to the landholders that backed my judgement with this despite the conditions. We started planting in the first week of July, and finished today. 80,000 trees, shrubs and grasses were planted by our 2 sets of hands and a further 100,000 or so by others. Amazingly, the ground is wetter now than it was in July, so the plants should all get off to a good start. A big thanks to our clients this year, your support has been amazing 🙏We already have seed sown, 120,000 plants on order and forward bookings for about 30,000 for us to plant for 2026. If you need a project done next year, get in touch. But until next week, we will have our feet up for a well deserved rest. Cheers 🍻
