It has been awhile in-between updates, but rest assured I am very busy!!
Looking at our front garden this morning, I thought it needed sharing.
Three years ago it was predominantly lawn, we set about removing the lawn using only organic methods and then mass planted predominantly South Australian natives.
This garden faces north and cops a lot of salty wind from the ocean!
Needless to say, the natives have flourished and have provided us with an array of colours and habitat.

With Christmas drawing closer, I don’t have much room left in the diary!
But I always try to make room for those jobs that I do once a year, including this Melaleuca.
I can only access the top via a little hole I cut into the centre of the canopy 😂🤫

Had some much-needed R&R in the Flinders ranges and got to see this breathtaking 500 year-old eucalyptus.

Even though this summer has been incredibly dry, the jobs have not eased up!
Today i pruned these large mature Chinese Elm trees, just to keep them under control and to help maintain a bushy habit.
We were all happy with the end result 🌻

This is six months growth!
Nearly 12 months ago, my partner and I bought a house with a big garden space.
We are both passionate about organic gardening
and transformed this area of lawn into a productive space for vegetables.

If anyone has any questions relating to growing vegetables/setting up a productive garden with Permaculture principles I am always happy to offer advice or ideas.
