Some before and after photos of a job we completed before Christmas for Trish and Warwick .Including New York loft style windows we added to the stair void with a glass and Matt black stainless rail and a large kitchen with lots of draws for storage and even a custom tv cabinet

Looking through my phones pictures and came across this termite repair we did.
It entailed removal of existing structure replacing all the damaged timber, new water proofing ,render and paint.

⚠️ Close attention needed for corrosion protection of joist hangers and other connectors.

The minimum level of corrosion resistance used by manufacturers of metal framing brackets is Z275 gsm. This level is appropriate for internal applications (within the building envelope) that are kept permanently dry only. This level is not appropriate for external weather-exposed applications subject to repeated wetting.

Failure to utilise joist hangers and other connectors with the required levels of corrosion protection will lead to the early deterioration of these products, resulting in a decrease in structural capacity. In extreme circumstances, this could eventually contribute to the failure of a structure. The QBCC has investigated a number of balcony and deck collapses, some of which sadly resulted in death or serious injury.
