Something we've been seeing a LOT more of lately... microcement 👀🪨

This seamless, softly textured finish seems to be popping up everywhere at the moment, and we're starting to see it used for so much more than just floors and bathrooms.

Walls, shower recesses, vanities, kitchen splashbacks, islands, stairs... even furniture. The possibilities are kind of wild 😂
We especially love how it can make a space feel continuous and architectural, without everything feeling completely flat. There is still texture, tonal variation and that lovely hand-finished look ✨

It can go full Mediterranean and organic, super minimal and sculptural, or become a softer backdrop for warmer materials like timber and natural stone.

Definitely one we've been noticing more and more lately! What do we think... microcement yay or nay? 👀💛

Went to Eco Outdoor for narrowline terracotta bricks... got distracted by glass bricks instead 👀😂

We made a quick trip to have a look at some brick finishes for a client, but naturally ended up finding a few completely unrelated things we loved along the way ✨

Seeing materials like this on actual walls rather than just on a website makes such a difference. It really helps us understand the scale, texture and how the finish will actually look once it's in situ 🧱💛

We've been tweaking some designs and updating renders for our project reports, and this mudroom/laundry is looking pretty good 👀

A little morning of pretty things and good food 🤎✨

Had a lovely time at having a look through some of Satara and L&M Home’s newest selections! Even got to meet the owner of Satara, who was there to personally present and talk us through the new collections himself 👀

Plenty of gorgeous pieces to admire, and some very welcome homemade treats along the way 🧁☕️

Apartment inspection visit! 🦺📐✨

Out on site checking over finishes, double checking measurements, taking approximately a million photos, and visualising all the new furniture, window treatments, lighting and joinery coming together 📸🪟💡

Always love getting out on site and seeing the trades hard at work! And this one really puts the scale of the project into perspective... around 350 apartments in the building 👀🏗️
There's a LOT happening here!

From model to realism🖥️📸

The 3D model is where we start piecing everything together. We map out the space, work through cabinetry and joinery configurations, and figure out how all the furniture and finishes are going to physically fit 📐

Then comes the fun part... the render! ✨

This is where we get to see all the colours, textures and materials come together, play with lighting and sunlight ☀️, and really start to see how the space is going to feel.

Honestly, this is my fave part of a project. Seeing the design come alive is one thing, but getting to show the clients for the first time and see their reactions is even better 🥹💛 There's nothing quite like that moment when they can finally see what we've been talking about!

Totally natural stone, gorgeous variation, and definitely one we're filing away for future projects 💛

A little inspo palette featuring some of 's newest finishes 🤎✨

We're seeing so many colour ranges moving towards warmer, earthy tones this year, and we're very much here for it! Especially the new terracotta and clay tones, plus the introduction of more matte, stone-look finishes like Ivorio Travertine 🪨

So many fun new options to play with!

A lovely afternoon with Globewest and Laminex for their 2027 launch yesterday! 🤎✨

It honestly felt like the whole Perth design community had turned up to see all the new releases, and there was plenty to get excited about 👀

Yes, colour is coming back! (Green marine marble coffee table I love you~) 🌈 And we're seeing contrast making itself known everywhere too, from colour and materials to form, shape, and style. So many fun new directions to play with!
