mcmahon and nerlich is an architectural design studio in south melbourne led by directors kate mcmahon and rob nerlich, with a wealth of experience in housing, education and urban design both in melbourne and london. we have a growing portfolio of built projects, an established practice profile and a strong design philosophy. we work collaboratively to create interesting and rigorous design and research, working with new and existing built fabric and celebrating contemporary place and culture.

Allegato. The small yet bold powder room, wrapped in the same rich green patina of handmade tiles….set against the warmth of Tasmanian Blackwood reveals and sculptural freestanding basin. Won Runner-Up in the Powder Room category in the TIDA Awards.

Site Bytes; Check out progress on the bathrooms at our Fitzroy House!

Taking cues from the original Victorian arches, the bathrooms feature floating oval mirrors, subtle curved-end vanities, natural light bathing the spaces from above, in hues of calming french grey.
