Last night the TSTMA held their annual conference. As well as having a great line up of guest speakers from around the country we also had the graduate awards presentation. Congratulations to our own Jessika Maclaren who took out the golf course graduate of the year. Jess came on to the team with the Riverside contract and has been a great addition to the team.
Jack Pearce took out the sports field award. Jack completed the first two years of his apprenticeship with us before taking a great opportunity with Burnie City Council to follow his passion of turf wickets.
A great night for our team and the Tasmanian turf industry.

We’re happy to announce that with the retirement of this legend, we have signed on with Burnie Golf Club to take on the management of their course from March 2. This will allow us to further develop our skills and retain qualified staff, as well as invest in more renovation equipment.
The effort and expertise of Greg will make the handover extremely smooth and we’re keen to keep improving the course. The addition of Burnie further adds to our stable which now includes:
Devonport Country Club
Ulverstone Golf Club
Port Sorell Golf Club
Riverside Golf Club
Ulverstone Bowls and Community Club
Latrobe Bowls Club

Congratulations to Burnie Golf Club Super Greg Duff, who hands the keys in for retirement today after 32 years at the helm. Job well done Duffy and best wishes for the next phase of your life!

A positive attitude and ability to work in a team
Physical fitness and readiness to work outdoors in varying conditions
A driver’s licence (preferred)

Australian sides championships done and dusted. 4am starts and 8.30 pm finishes with Johnsy walking close to 200kms behind his mower, I’d hate to see how far our rollers have travelled. Greens ran beautifully for the duration with the weather finally on our side and Queensland coming out on top but Tassie in the hunt for a long time.
Well done team, not only those who worked on the bowls but also to the others who kept the usual locations running smoothly and also our volunteers!
1 week to go, we’re stuffed but…… bring on the Aussie Champs starting tomorrow!!!!!

Getting some nice wins at Riverside Golf Club by the team. Plenty more to do but we are all enjoying the challenge.
