Recent shots from the Ravensthorpe Cultural Precinct project with .design
Did you know that a timber building ensures an environmentally friendly building both scientifically and socially? The warmth of the texture and colour of the natural timber is a very pleasant environment to be around and to work in. Engineered timber has a minimal carbon footprint resulting only from the felling, transport, and milling of the timber, and like all timber, entraps the carbon absorbed during the growth process of the original tree for the lifetime of the project.
This project was made possible by the Australian Governments Building Better Regions Fund, (Round 4).

We love collaborating with all our consultants - especially when this is just the work in progress! We have been working closely with for a few Bloom Early Education childcare projects to capture the essence of play and learning within our designs.

We acknowledge the important cultural connection Indigenous people have to land, water and sky country and are learning about these deep connections throughout our practice and everyday life. This reconciliation week and every day of the year, Peter Hobbs Architects supports the theme. The above image, The Roundhouse by Christopher Pease illustrates an important Dreamtime story in Walyalup that the PHA team learnt about for a recent project. Draftee by day… SES volunteer by night! Mark volunteers regularly with the SES crew, training for rescue missions and natural disasters when they hit Perth. Mark will either be in the office drafting up roof pitches on the computer, or on a roof trying to water proof it during a storm! We are proud of have Mark on the PHA team and enjoy hearing about his SES adventures.
