The extraordinary collective artwork Day of the Species is coming to the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney for the first time from 2–20 April, 2026.

EVERY PLANT and EVERY ANIMAL on Australia’s national threatened species list will be on display.

More than 2,000 tiny artworks, created by artists across Australia, together form a powerful portrait of the threat to our biodiversity.
The costs of presenting the exhibition and making the project accessible to the public continue to grow.
So we’ve launched a 3-week crowdfunding campaign to help support the exhibition.

Your support helps cover the practical costs of presenting the work and sharing it with a wider audience.

2,105 threatened species.
300+ artists.
1 Exhibition.
Support the campaign on Pozible.com
DOTS campaign. See link in my bio.

Today I said goodbye to my beautiful Maisie Jane 🌈 My rescue dog. My Velcro pug. My heart.
Maisie came into my life to relearn how to be a dog — how to trust, how to play, how to love. For the first six months we found our way together, slowly and gently.
In her younger days, Maisie was daring and athletic — a little pug with big ambitions. She climbed, she leapt, she launched herself onto kitchen stools with a single-minded mission to get to the bananas on the bench. Banana was one of her favourite foods… second only to Vegemite toast. An Aussie pug through and through, Vegemite sent her into shrieks of joy, a kind of happiness so pure it couldn’t be contained.
Maisie was a Velcro pug in the truest sense. She was always with me. Even in sleep, she knew when I left the room, rising as if pulled by an invisible thread that connected our hearts.
In 2024, a brain tumour took her sight, but it never dimmed her spirit. We were gifted 18 more months, and I filled them with tenderness — with cuddles, comfort, routine, and all the foods she loved. Blind, she learned the world again through trust. Through touch. Through love. She walked it by my side, fearless because I was there.
Maisie was my support pug through some of my darkest days. When the world felt unbearable, she made it gentler. When I felt unsteady, she anchored me. Together, we could face anything.
My heart is broken and bruised today. Thirteen years was never enough. But what a life. What a love. What a gift.
I love you, Maisie Jane — to the moon and back. Run free over the rainbow bridge, sweetheart. Say hello to darling Max for me 🐾💛🌈

To help you create a native garden full of colour, movement and pollinator-friendly blooms, I’ve put together a little ebook on creating an Australian Native Pollinator Garden.

Download the 28 page guide for just $2!
Inside you’ll find:
🌼 pollinator friendly native plant combinations
🌼 pollinator overviews with their favourite plants and habitats
🌼 simple examples of pollinator hotels you can make at home
🌼 a list of the plants and flowers most loved by pollinators in my native garden
📸 and lots of beautiful inspiration

During this Australian Pollinator Week 2025 I will donate 100% of proceeds from the Pollinator Garden guide to the Wheen Bee Foundation — every contribution supports research, education, and conservation of Australia’s pollinators.

I hope this week I have inspired you to plant more colour, create more habitat, and enjoy even more magic in your garden.

Thank you for being part of a kinder, more colourful world. 🌸 🌺 🌼 🐝 🦋 🪰 🐦

All across Australia, tiny pollinators are hard at work! This week I’ll be sharing beautiful native flower combinations to encourage more pollinators to visit your garden and make it home. Plus pollinator friendly plant lists, habitat ideas, and a special free downloadable guide to help you create your own flower filled, pollinator-friendly native garden. 🌸 🐝 🪰 🦋

Making a pollinator garden is easier than you think! If you provide the flowers and a safe space for nature to return - your garden will come alive ✨ 💚
