Been a bit quiet on Facebook but we certainly haven’t been quiet on the tools. We tidied up this rocky, unusable garden bed with a nice new composite deck. The customers didn’t want their yard all torn up by a machine to remove all the rocks and dig out the dirt so we decided to use the ClickDeck aluminium framing system together with Ekodeck composite decking to mitigate the water rot and termite issues that building a conventional timber frame deck poses.

Been loving using the ClickDeck aluminium framing system on some of our recent projects. It’s especially great for decking over concrete slabs and tiled areas or when we don’t have a lot of height to work with. Being aluminium, it’s lightweight, straight as an arrow, and almost totally eliminates the possibility of water rot in the frame and termite factors ultimately prolonging the lifespan of your deck.

This is a job that we completed last week in Coolum Beach. The old balcony was rotting and starting to fall apart. The deck and roof had sagged more than 65mm in some places and became a hazard. We got to it just in time.
