Took a bit to get this one right to ensure the blonde pacific oak stair treads match the flooring but really happy with the end result. Custom stain was created with Hardwax colours for the win.

12 years ago I ripped up a third of this Tassie Oak Parque floor, ran each block into my thicknesser to remove the glue and reinstalled it. Sanding and finishing followed shortly after.
Today, after extensive renovations we sanded the old finish off and applied a seal coat of to remove the yellow wood tones and then applied 2 pack Matt Waterbourne with whitening additive to give a soft, light straw colour.

This 260x21mm engineered French Oak provides a super stable floor that will last for years to come. Sporting a 6mm top layer it can be sanded many times and coated in your choice of finish. Pictured here it’s freshly coated with Hardwax Oil and will dry to a soft low sheen.
