~Top Tips~

Selecting a colour that’s right for you.

Below is an image of 2 different GREYs.

Couple things to notice-

1st- They are both Greys but one is a green base so when it’s painted on different surfaces it can throw a shade of green. Top Tip- Do test patches on actual surface to be painted to make sure colour is what you are looking for.

2nd- There are 2 different colours but made up at 2 different strengths. (Hence the 4 different colours) YES that’s right if there is a colour you like but it’s a bit dark you can ask for 1/2 strength or 1/4 strength 🙌🏻 to find the ideal colour!

~DIY Painting Tips~

As many of us are self isolating and looking around the house at the odd jobs that can be achieved while we have so called ‘spare’ time.

Painting will probably be one of those jobs that you might attempt to do yourself or your significant other is asking you to get done! Which is sometimes not as easy as it looks, there are a few tricks of the trade to make it easier so feel free to messages us any of your painting questions or any painting tips you might want to know.

We are all in this together and Nick’s Nifty is happy to assist where we can to make it through these uncertain times.

Proud Business and Dad moment!

Today Ian at Dulux Trade Centre Townsville kindly donated a generous amount of Dulux quality paint to our Daughters Kindergarten- King Cole Kindergarten C&K Oonoonba.

Now we can donate our time and give a fresh new look to all the children's outdoor play equipment, the buildings handrails and paint some new interactive traffic signs for the children's outdoor bike/ride along toy car track.

Dulux also donated some little pots especially for the kids to paint there very own art mural!!
We will keep you posted on the mural developments.

Once again a big thanks to Ian and the team at Dulux!
