In uncertain times, there’s something incredibly powerful about creating a home that gives you more control over the essentials of life.
For Lizzie and David, their tiny house journey was about much more than building a beautiful small home. It was about creating resilience, independence and peace.
After years of living in a small apartment in Hong Kong, they returned to Australia and built this stunning DIY tiny house in Victoria. Their home is fully off-grid, with solar power, rainwater collection, a composting toilet, greywater system and plans to turn the land around them into a productive food forest.
It’s warm, practical, beautifully designed and built around needing less while gaining so much more.
A tiny home like this feels like a welcome safety net in an uncertain world.
