We often extends far beyond the cabinetry itself. In this project, relocating the sink required new drainage, water services, underground plumbing, reinforcement for the concrete, and coordination across multiple trades before the joinery could even be installed.

It’s a reminder that great outcomes are built on planning, problem solving, and attention to detail long before the finished product is seen.

A great kitchen is not just about how it looks, it’s about how it works.

In this project, Kyri breaks down the importance of kitchen layout and why the placement of key elements like the sink, dishwasher, bins, cooktop, fridge, and ovens can have a huge impact on everyday usability. Thoughtful planning creates a kitchen that feels effortless to use, saving time and improving the way you move through the space.

Integrated or Freestanding?

One of the most common kitchen decisions comes down to the dishwasher. While both options have their place, we often lean towards integrated dishwashers for a cleaner, more seamless finish. By matching the cabinetry, the appliance disappears into the joinery, creating a more refined and cohesive look throughout the kitchen.

In this video, we break down the differences and what needs to be considered when designing your joinery around an integrated appliance.

What would you choose?

Greenvale Walkthrough with Kyri, Part 3.

At Greenvale, the focus here was opening up the space and bringing in more natural light. By expanding the window opening, the kitchen feels instantly larger, brighter, and more connected to the outdoors, allowing light to move freely across the joinery and surfaces.

A considered change that transforms how the space is experienced.

If you are planning a project where layout and light work hand in hand, get in touch to discuss your project.
